Annette Alexander is the President/CEO and Wealth Advisor of Compass Wealth Solutions in Portland, Indiana. She earned a bachelor’s degree in legal administration and minor in business from Ball State University in 1995. She started her career in the financial industry in 1992 in Portland, Indiana where she married her husband, Jarrod. She worked for two different community banks until November of 1999 when she joined Raymond James and Associates. She became a registered Financial Advisor in April of 2000 providing clients with direction and guidance with their financial lives. Annette currently holds her Series 7, 9, 10, 31, 63, and 65 registrations, Insurance License, and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation.
In March of 2021, Annette made the decision to take her wealth management business independent with Osaic Wealth, Inc. (formerly Woodbury Financial). This transition provided her with more opportunities to serve her wealth management clients at a higher level of service, independence and flexibility. The creation of Compass Wealth Solutions allowed her team to focus on future growth and higher efficiencies for their clients. They have a diverse group of clients that include young professionals, midlife achievers, retirees and business owners. Planning, creating and investing for clients with a clearly defined path is what brings great pleasure to Annette and her team. Seeing clients live life to the fullest with a greater financial peace of mind is their ultimate goal.
Annette is honored to be serving on the Osaic National Advisory Board since 2024. This opportunity allows her to learn from and collaborate with company leaders and peers. She has been privileged to serve on the board during the Osaic "Journey to One" initiative. During this process, Osaic completed the consolidation of various subsidiary broker-dealers and their advisors into one unified brand.
She recognizes the importance of philanthropy and volunteering her time in the community. She serves as a board member of the Portland Rotary Club and serves on the Golf Brook Estates Community Association board. She is a ministry partner and a children’s ministry volunteer at the Rock Church in Portland, Indiana. In past years, she has diligently served various organizations in her community. These include the Altrusa Club, Arts Place, IU Jay Hospital Foundation, Jay County Chamber of Commerce, Jay County Humane Society and Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, Inc.
When not serving clients or volunteering her time, she enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also delights in finding the best gluten-free food options. She appreciates many genres of music and admires a wide variety of art styles. Additionally, she is an enthusiastic participant in a women's card club throughout the year. Lastly, she feels blessed that her parents, sister and husband have been her pillars of strength and joy. They have always provided her with support and shared moments that have impacted her life.
